Day 1 Basic Guard is 8 hrs in our classroom. Day 2 is the first day of Armed and is 8 hrs in our classroom. Day 3 is the second day of Armed and is 6 hrs at the range. Your DPS training certificates are awarded at class completion to turn in with your application or renewals for Security Guard Employee “Guard Card” License and Armed Guard. Your security manuals are yours to keep and refer to once you are on the job. This is a very informative, interactive, 8 hr class. We do not just show you old videos. Dress comfortably and bring your lunch as we do a working lunch. For your convenience we have a refrigerator, microwave, and vending machines in our break room. Hands on training at the range. Bring lunch, drinks, snacks, drinks, gun, and ammo - 100 rounds / 2 box min, eye protection (non glass prescription eyeglasses qualify) , ear protection (ear plugs ok). If you are NOT sponsored for your guard card you will get a sponsored DPS application through our security partner Desert Watch Security. Fingerprint card and picture are included. Once you have your guard card you may apply and work for any security company that hires you. This class can be taken for your renewal training certificate as well.
