Experience with a gun means basic pistol certification from the NRA If you can not show experience with a hand gun this class is a prerequisite to taking our Armed Guard, CCW, and Personal Protection in the Home certification classes. Experience with a gun means basic pistol certification from the NRA or other approved organization, military, law enforcement, LEOSA, CCW permit, etc. It will familiarize you with a hand gun so you are comfortable with it's safe handling, use, and proper storage. Bring your lunch, drinks and snacks because we do a working lunch in the classroom and there are only vending machines available at the range. Student must bring a hand gun, minimum 100 rounds of ammunition, eye protection, and ear protection. Ear plugs are ok. Please dress comfortably, but you must have closed toe shoes, sleeved shirt or blouse, or crew neck t-shirt, and long pants. A hat and sunscreen are also good to take. Walk-ins pay $20 additional if space is available. Walk-ins, we are not responsible if the class was canceled or is full.
